I am a 28 year resident of this area having moved here from Anchorage, Alaska. I was an educator whilst in Alaska and acted in several community plays and was a member of  the Anchorage Lyric Opera and the Anchorage Community Chorus

THE PAST 28 YEARS

I served as Principal, then Assistant Superintendent of the Beaufort County School District.

In 2008 I was hired by the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra as its  President and Executive   Director.. A later promotion changed that title to President and CEO.

I retired from the Symphony in 2020- Just as the COVID pandemic hit.

EDUCATION

My highest education level is a master’s degree in public administration.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

I have served on the following nonprofit  and arts organization boards.

Rotary, Women in philanthropy. Greater Island Council, League of Women Voters. Lean Ensemble Theater, HHSO International Piano Competition Committee, Cypress Health and Safety  Committee, 

AWARDS

I was named the ZONTA Woman of the year in 2009 and received the Mayor’s Citizen’s Award in 2010’
